This time, the rumors are buzzing the web about Sony considering Intel’s Larrabee multi-GPU processor for PlayStation 4 console. Sony has faced enough troubled waters for the complex and costly game development kits for PlayStation 3 console. Hence, the company is considering traditional multi-core microprocessor for the next gen console reported PC Watch.
Sony’s PlayStation 3 packs Cell Broadband Engine processor chip that have several synergistic processing units for floating point calculations and other general purpose computing tasks. As per Japanese site PC Watch, Sony is considering to include mainstream multi-core processor in the next-generation PlayStation console. Looks like developers and even gamers are fed up of PlayStation ports just like the recent Bayonetta issue.
