well folks nvidia is back to rock now(well the prices and sales say so ) Ati really troubled it with the 4XXX series price performance ratio so now having no option it had to decrease its prices ,and it has launched the gts 250 @ competative price to the 4850
Point here is even though the gts 250 is nothing but the renamed 9800gtx+ it offers decent performance at its segement ..nothing new the same old 55nm 128 sp baby but what it matters is the price!!! big time isnt it ,ati is leading from top to bottom these days not because it offers better performance solely but because it offeres equal performance at cheaper prices ….so with the lauch of the gts 250 …. every one was cursing since nvidia its jus rebranding blah blah i as a gamer appreciate it …why??? coz i like the the name GTS ….naaah …simple thing is its price ….the 1gb model is being offerend now at below 9ooo INR …well it doesnt mean that the gts 250 is the way to go ..well still some perticular brands like palit are offering the 4850 at 1k less than the gts 250…so it still isnt that simple to choose isnt it!!
it depends upon ur preferences now ,let us have a look on the unqiue features of both the cards

GTS 250
1)nvidia physx acceleration(very helpful in physX accelarated games like mirrors edge , unreal tournament 3 etc)
2)nvidia cuda (special programming kit helpful for programmers ,for more visit official nvidias website)
3)dx 10

Ati radeon hd 4850
1)directex 10.1(vs dx 10 with gts 250)
2)shader modle 4.1(vs shader model 4 with gts 250)
3)havoc physx acceleration(it is not as good as nvidia physx)
4)Ati stream(its still to be developed to answer the Cuda)

now are you able to make ur choice or still confused !! then lets make it simple ….. choose watever you get at cheaper price.. coz both are almost same at performance and none is worth paying a penny more over the other
