hi anoop
u can use it bro ,but thing is u wont get the full performance out of this card, its called bottlenecking where the performance of one component degrades due to the other,ur p4 3.0 ghz is slower and cant support this card well,so ans is yes u can use it but the card wont perform to its best,i recommend you to upgrade ur processor and motherboard,if u have such plans tell me ur budget so that i can recommend u good stuff ,but if u cant just buy this card but hey make sure u have atleasr a 450watt normal power supply(it would jus cost arnd 500 INR)

Hi nick welcome to pcgamersera,
Firstly ur laptop wont support more than 667 mhz ram
http://www.intel.com/products/notebook/chipsets/pm965/pm965-overview.htm

Even if it would have I wont advice u to go for 800 mhz ram ,there wont be any drastic change u would see in doing so ,currently ur having a bus speed of 200mhz (200*4 effective ) and ur 333X2 mhz ram is jus quite enuf ,u already have more than 1:1 (cpu bus :Ram) ratio so jus nothing to worry ,jus defragment ur system frm time to have the best out of it

I'm always searching for things about info that I don't know of. It is not an easy task to look for things that you do not know of, because what do you search for? ;) This was right up my alley regarding something new to me. Nice share! Thank you.

I'm a noob with all this stuff and I'm about to upgrade my RAM for my Acer Aspire 6920 laptop. As of now I have DDR2-667 (333mhz) ram in there and I was wondering what's the max RAM speed that will still be safe to use on my system. Because I was thinking about buying some DDR2-800 RAM, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you!

My system specs are:

Motherboard- Aspire 6920 (PM965)
CPU- core 2 duo T7500 2.20 ghz
FSB- 800 mhz
