The xGp (external Graphics Platform) by Amd was one of most amazing demonstration at CES 2010 ,though they gave a hint of this in the CES 2008 but people dint expect it to be such amazingly powerful and efficient .

The XGP platform consists of a mobile Radeon HD graphics card (usually enclosed in an external case) and connects to any notebook equipped with the proprietary XGP connector featuring 16X PCI-Express 2.0 lanes.

Games like Crysis , Farcry wont be much a deal to be played on the Laptops now .

Pros

Since the Gpu will be located externally there wont be Heating issues that keep on worrying laptops Gamers.
Some high end gaming looks possible with a notebook after all.

Cons
Well u have to carry this xtra attachment with you ,and make sure u have this external pcie adapter on ur notebook,but hopefully recent ones will be having one
