Microsoft agrees security flaw in its Internet Explorer browser played a Major role in the recent computer attacks against Google and at least 20 other companies.

In a Thursday alert confirming the weakness, Microsoft said the security hole can be closed by setting browser’s Internet security zone to “high.” The world’s largest software maker may also issue an update to fix the problem.

Microsoft pinpointed the trouble spot after Google announced earlier this week that hackers in China had pried into the e-mail accounts of human rights activists opposing the Chinese government’s policies. The attack outraged Google. It plans to leave China unless the government backs off rules requiring Google’s Chinese search engine to censor some results.

Previously we brought you the news that activeX in IE was a major flaw cashed by the hackers ,which went somethin like this

Yet an_other flaw in internet explorer discovered.According to the redmond giant,Malicious hackers are launching code execution exploits against new, unpatched vulnerability in the Microsoft Video ActiveX Control. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could gain the same user rights as the local user with out any intervention.thus it is considered to be a dangerous glitch and good news is that company advisory says the security incident is activated and patch will be released within a few weeks!

So what is Microsoft heading upto ,what should be done ? Will upgrading the IE to next Versions is Enuf ? Dont you think its time for a total make over for IE ,share your views .

yes you are right, switch to mozilla-firefox or google- chrome..they are much more advanced and reliable browsers than microsoft-internet explorer…personally i use firefox because a whole lot of addon’s and many more customisations are in handy..and if you are a prolonged web user i suggest to use firefox or else if you are a regular user go for chrome, opera or apple safari…n if you are a big fan of internet explorer patch and update it regularly and browse..
