4770 pcgamersera Volt MOD Overclocking Test case Ati 4770
I have choosen The sapphire ati radeon 4770, To my astonishment It was able to go from its default gpu clock of 750mhz to 1000mhz and its default memory clock from 799mhz to 1200mhz with a little voltage modding modding. But it required more cooling at these clocks ,Here in this case i wasnt able to overclock more than 830/850 with its default bios as it doesn’t support voltage more than 0.9v.

so what i had done wassearch for suitable bios which supported higher voltages,I found Asus top 4770 bios supporting voltage upto 1.3v. If u own a non Asus 4770 and want to try this here is the

Now Get the Atiflash ( The version 3.60 is recommended)
You can download it from here

Thats it! Now prepare ur system to overclock beyond imagination.

Here we go

Step 1:First u need a dos boot disk.

Step 2 :Now locate Atiflash dir and enter it

Now type atiflash -f -p 0 4770.bin ( dont try to run t from windows and remember your bios file name may differ)

Here -f is to force the program to write bios with checking subsystemid’s, -p is the adapter choice for pci-16x adapter, 0 is the adapter number, and 4770.bin is the bios file name.

Thats it,your ready to rock.

P.s :D o it at your own risk ,overclocking may damage your hardware .

  1. Kanishk says:

remember that more overclocking mat require more cooling,, othrwise graphic corruption or unexceptional system handling may occur
