GTX 295 Exclusive Hands on review
INTRODUCTION

The GTX 295 is the latest installment from Nvidia to conquer the flagship of ATI, The 4870×2. Like the 9800GX2 and 4870×2, GTX 295 is also a dual GPU graphic card. The point of difference comes as 9800GX2 and 4870×2 has 2 GPUs on a single PCB which is cooled by a cooler, but GTX 295 has, in actual, two PCBs, each occupying a GTX200 series GPU, both them are cooled by a single cooler.
So here are the specifications of GTX 295:-
=>55nm Fabrication Process
=>576 MHz Core Clock
=>1242 MHz Shader Clock
=>1000 MHz/2000 MHz Memory Clock(Clock Rate/Data Rate)
=>1792 MB Total Video Memory
=>448-bit per GPU(Total 896-bit) Memory Interface
=>224 GB/s Total Memory Bandwidth
=>480 Processor Cores
=>28 ROP Units
=>160 Texture Filtering Units
=>92.2 GigaTexels/s Texture Filtering Rate
=>400 MHz RAMDACs
=>PCI Express 2.0
=>Dual Slot Cooler
=>1*6-Pin+1*8-Pin Power Connectors
=>289W Max Board Power(TDP)

FINAL THOUGHTS
The GTX 295 is a monster. The fastest card on Earth till date. But nothing comes cheap. Its a whopping Rs.33000. But then for enthusiasts this is not a big deal. Some suggested me to buy GTX 260 SLI because it was available for only Rs.12000. But then SLI motherboard, more powerful PSU and a larger case would have exceeded the cost of my rig by about Rs.10000, but gives identical performance. The performance of GTX 295 is largely dependent on SLI profiles. Some games which do not have SLI support will observe GTX 295 as a GTX 260 or so(like GTA4). GTX 295 runs all the games at their highest settings on respectable frames. For Crysis and Crysis Warhead even 25 fps is highly playable, so i wont mind if the frames are dropping much. The temperatures were fine 50*C on idle and 78*C on load.
Pros(+):
-Monster
-Two GPUs on a single Graphics Card
-Worth the money(at least for me)
-Temperatures
Cons(-):
-Performance largely dependent on SLI profiles
-Fan on high is loud
-Only 896 MB Memory per GPU(1 GB would have helped very much)

yes i am ready to help
thanx ..
thanx for ur encouragement
thnx for all ur comments =D
Your site is worth beeing in the top cause it contains really amazing information.
Heh. My 8800GT clocks higher in both GPU core speed and shader speeds… And for the vast majority of games, the rest doesn’t matter. I can run Crysis, and it looks gorgeous. It’s not full quality, nor is it a full 60 fps, but it’s still gorgeous.
Just about everything else runs 1920×1200, full settings, 60fps or close to. For current demands, anything more is a waste of money.
